Nothing can be worse than having to be around an ex. For Dani, she’s asked by her best friend as a wedding favor to keep her ex Jamie occupied so he doesn’t talk his best friend out of marrying her. What sucks worse for Dani is Jamie total obliterated her heart and left her too pick up whatever pieces were left. There’s no way she could let Jamie ruin her best friend’s wedding with his commitment problems so she sucks it up and keeps him occupied. What Dani doesn’t expect is to deal with past feeling and chemistry that erupts between them. This book deals with a lot of emotional problems that occurs during people. The story kept you reading to the end. Her story plot is food. Enough sex scenes. Her sex scenes weren't over the top.
Hit, steamy, suspenseful, and funny. A must read.
This book was a fine read. It doesn't hold a place at the top where my favorites are. But it also isn't the worst book I've read. It was good enough that I finished it and moved on. I was looking for a book to stick with me months after reading it and to make me want to re-read. For me, it wasn't this book. For others - it could be
This is the first book I have read by Boone Bruce and I really enjoyed the story line. The two main characters have to tolerate each other at their best friends' wedding and unbeknownst to them the bride is trying to get them back together. Several situations made me laugh out loud! I would definitely read other books by this author.
Who wouldn't spend time with someone for our bestfriend? Spending time with someone who broke your heart would be tough. However, having a second chance at love would make everything worth it. This book is the first in the series, and I have already purchased the next two. I highly recommend this book!
Typical contemporary romantic comedy set during week before a wedding involving members of the wedding party. Hero is the best man, a commitment phobe who dumped heroine, the maid of honor, when she said, I love you. Yet the too-stupid-to-live heroine agrees to spend time with him before the wedding as a favor to someone despite still being deeply hurt over the breakup. What could possibly go wrong? He offers a casual apology over lunch, and it's all good. A friend pulls a thoughtless, hurtful, and manipulative stunt, but heroine insta-forgives that too. Apparently she has no problem at all with people treating her badly. Kind of creepy. Ended up throwing book at the wall but was able to finish it first so gave it three stars. For a much more enjoyable series set at a wedding try Entangled Brazen's Wedding Dare series.
This was a fun summer read. Hot, humorous, with a happily-ever-after ending. Yes, it might be a bit predictable, but it's a category romance, they're all fairly predictable. Bridesmaid Blues puts a fun twist on Wedding Favors. I loved Dani. She was funny and quirky. I liked Jamie too even though he had some serious baggage. Been there and can appreciate Brux's take on it. Roxy cracked me up. Sure, I would have smacked her if she'd manipulated me like that, but she's funny and really is acting out of love. I closed my with in a good mood after reading Bridesmaid Blues. To me that's worth five stars.
