This is the first book in the Eveiller series by author Melanie James. This group of stories is about several couples who are neighbors and friends on Eveiller Drive. This is Ava and Will's story. After 10 years of marriage, your life with your mate can change, especially having children and the responsibility that brings. That's what happened to Ava and Will. Will is constantly busy with his new promotion, a job he dislikes but feels he needs to do to bring in more money for his family. Ava is busy running the household, taking care of the children and everyday stuff and has some respite running her jewelry business. Every Tuesday morning the ladies of Eveiller drive meet for coffee and breakfast. During their breakfast the women of Eveiller Drive decide to take back the romance in their marriages. They decide the first to start is Ava. With her 10th anniversary coming up, Ava puts the plans in motion to reconnect with her husband. This is a wonderful hot and steamy read. It relates to all couples who have been married for awhile and get caught up in their everyday life and forget to take time with each other. I can tell you I know I will love this series based off of this first book! There are so many truths to how relations change, especially after kids. It was great to read about it and have the women devise a plan. The scenes were HOT and it was great that it opened up things for them in their marriage. Can't wait for book 2 and the rest!!!!
This was a super fast read. Ava and Will find their 10th anniversary rapidly approaching and it seems they're stuck in a marriage that's become routine. Like so many couples now days, they've set their needs aside only to concentrate on their kids, jobs, and bills. Ava has a plan to put the heat back in their marriage...or is it too late? This book may be a short story, but its long on sizzle!
This is a nice little romance with some sex thrown in that is quite well-written. Basically a simple plot where women get to together and find ways to improve their marriage, a kind of 'nice' Desperate Housewives" where the neighbours are caring is probably an apt description. The characters were likeable, plot was sweet but it is not enough to get me to read the series. There is nothing to connect to but in saying that it is certainly nice to just read. I just prefer a little more depth.
This is a short novella about a married couple in need of reconnecting with each other. They spend a weekend away to reconnect and celebrate their wedding anniversary. This book is one that any married woman can relate to because at some point in a relationship, life gets the best of you and starts to create a bit of distance. Ava took initiative and brought them back together again. I love this book. LOVE IT. It is well written, fast paced, characters you can easily relate to and steamy. I can't wait to dive into the rest of this series.
This is a short, sexy story about how life, responsibilities and children push romance out of a marriage...Well, Ava has had enough, she plans a most erotic weekend get away for her and Will's tenth anniversary. Will has also been feeling the strain because of the promotion at work that brought in more money was supposed to make things better for them, has left him no time for his family or his wife. He hates the job. He misses his wife. Well, this weekend they each have a surprise for each other beside the great sex that rekindles their marriage and devotion for each other.
What a great read.What an amazing into. But we are talking about the amazing Melanie James.
I absolutely recommend this to adults who enjoys a true to life erotic romance!
Let me just start off with how much I love Melanie James' books. Her descriptive writing draws you in and never lets go. This book, although short was nothing less than I expected it to be. Being a married woman with four kids I could easily relate to the story of Ava & Will. Sometimes there isn't enough alone time to spend as a couple. I loved how Melanie showed us how easy it is to make time for each other. It was a romantic and hot tale of a struggling married couple who found their way back to romance. Thank you Melanie for such a great story. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.
this series is great. Book 1 is about Ava and Will, Will gets a promotion and like real life sometimes good things can be bad. Ava has a small jewelery business and after meeting with the neighorhood ladies where Ava is upset that she feels her connection with Will is lacking has a plan to bring romance back in their lives. She will plan a getaway and pull out all stops on sexy. With help of her neighbors and money form her business the plan is set. This is a very sexy book but also very real in the what happens in real life loved it !!!!!!!!!!!!
